Hi! It is said that movement is what changes the body and I couldn’t agree more! My goal is to teach you Pilates in a way that will be rewarding to you and is also safe and appropriate to your body and your needs. When I first started Pilates, I had no idea what it was but I had heard a lot about it and it looked like fun. From the moment I tried it, I was hooked.
It not only changed my body but my life. I am confident that this same exercise, and the body of work that the Pilates Method encompasses can help you to better acquaint you to your own self and to a better moving body.
I have over 5 years of experience, and was trained by Peak Pilates Master Trainer Amie Baca. I have received a Comprehensive Certification from Pilates on 10th, a Peak Pilates Basic Mat Certification and CEC in the jumpboard through BASI. I have worked with clients from all walks of life and with a variety of physical ailments and know how to make Pilates suit you and your needs. I’ve had plenty of desk jobs and long commutes. I know how that they can take the hardest toll on a body. I have also been blessed to have personally practiced Pilates through out my pregnancy and used it to rehabilitate my postnatal body. I grew up riding horses, I love to roller-skate, snowboard, paddle board, hike, camp and climb. But right now, it is most likely that you will find me chasing after my busy body toddler, Ava!
When you come to your first appointment, bring with you a spirit of “playful curiosity” and be ready to learn about this amazing style of movement. My focus in every exercise is to help you build the strongest center possible and to help you achieve the greatest length. Be ready for a refreshing workout!
